[Novalug] Editor (was Re: NO Sept Meeting topic (SUGGESTIONS?))

FYI I use gedit; whenI need a separate window with the same text, I may use
pico/nano as well. Then, to compare two (or more) files I use 'diffuse',
a successor to xxdiff.
