[Novalug] Hot Spots

The Android vs iPhone question hinges on your personal preferences and your larger digital ecosystem. If you already have a library of iOS or Android apps, that alone will severely tilt in favor of the apps.

As I understand it, Android phones (except for the Nexus line) have bloatware installed by the carrier or vendor. iOS apps have far less flexibility than Android. Even in iOS8, you *still* can't choose a system-wide default browser.

Android has been able to enjoy custom keyboards (like Swype) for a long time. iOS 8 finally provides that feature.

iPhones will get at least two major version upgrades during the life of the device. It's debatable if the second upgrade is worth it -- the phone's specs are old enough to make the phone slow and difficult to use. Android devices may or may not get updates, and it may depend on both the vendor AND your carrier to get them to you[1].

You can expect the iPhone to be on the higher end of the price spectrum, but there are essentially two options 6 or 6 Plus. Android phones are all over the place in terms of costs and specs. You'll need to do your homework here.
