That error message isn't very helpful without the configuration file.

The answer is PROBABLY in the SEND configuration. You need to set a number
of things

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cannot-send-messages
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/manual-account-configuration

You will need to know the if they use TLS, SSL, port and other stuff. I
expect
username
password
smtp.patriot.net (might not be smtp)
