I don't want to start a scare campaign for no reason.  The power
transfer would be done magnetically, the same way voltage is stepped up
or down in transformers all over your house and the rest of the world
now.  There is no radiation threat.  It is just a phenomenal waste of
energy.

By the way, I subsequently noticed a link on the same web page to an
article on using this technique to recharge electric vehicles.  It is at
