I'd say you are wrong about the 'Gone are the days' comment. For about 
$99 you can get a Cheap but Decent Networked Laser Printer, Brother make 
a nice one. It does LJ 4 or 5, uses Port 9100, and is Easy to Set Up. 
Supposedly it does PostScript too, but probably only PS2, not PS3.

If you are paying $25 for a printer, you are probably getting an InkJet, 
and you will soon spent that $99 in Cartridges, so you might as well buy 
the Laser in the first place. You might also get one that is Direct 
Connect (most likely USB) Only, which is also More Trouble, as the 
Drivers tend to be More Specific.
