A quick Ubuntu search shows this:

"Based on the information I got
(http://www.openprinting.org/printer/HP/HP-LaserJet_Pro_P1102), it means that
this printer is a doable in linux environment using the driver provided by
something called foo2zjs (at the time I didn't know what this means until
later). None said anything about HPLIP and a HPLIP driver is already installed
in my laptop (for offices printer). So, when asked which driver to installed
(Lubuntu asked me 2 choices, the Foomatic foo2zjs one or the HPLIP one which
require an extra plugin. at first I install the HPLIP because of doubt, but
it's proved to be the false move I had so I just uninstall HPLIP and try to
reinstall with the foomatic foo2zjs one and it works great) chose the foomatic
foo2zjs one and it works like a charm as the picture above."

I don't use Ubuntu, so maybe someone can help Charlie determine which path he
is is using, and maybe reroute to correct path if that is the case.
