[Novalug] Opening a 200GB Acom Data case

Alan,

I would suggest, to anyone with drive problems like you describe, that
you remove the drive from the enclosure and buy a copy of SpinRite
(from grc.com) to run on the drive.  SpinRite runs from a bootable CD,
though it also will run from a USB stick, on PC hardware and attempt
to fix the drive.  It does about everything that can be done (by
software) to recover data on the drive.

I have no association with grc.com, except as a customer.
