What do you mean TO syslog-ng? Syslog-ng is a Program, not a Company. Or did you mean BalaBit, a company that sells an Enhanced Version?

Whatever you used, make sure you DO NOT USE UDP between machines. Use TCP (or in the case of rsyslog, RELP) to avoid message loss as well as to be able to use encryption.

Why don't you see what you can do On Your Own before paying Money to a Vendor? rsyslog is already a part of RHEL.

P.S. What agency?

Aside from Syslog-ng, are there any other syslog type setups that will pull data from Linux, Windows, and Cisco devices? We're talking to Syslog-ng already, I'm looking for other vendors who can do enterprise wide logging. This is for a gov't agency. Thanks!
