I took my little System76 netbook, running Fedora 18,
into the next room, and it runs OK; but when I try to connect, it
fails, even though DD-WRT says my router radio is on. Something
in the netbook seems to be preventing or forbidding a connection.
A few years ago, something similar happened with a
laptop, and it turned out to be a real bear to make right.
But I seem to've lost whatever faintest inkling I had
then of what to do. Neither killing NetworkManager nor rebooting
seems to help; worse, even with xfce, I'm having a hard time
finding the controls I used to get to with the GUI.
Does this ring any bells??
