[Novalug] cleanup of memory stick

All,

I have an 8 GB memory stick that has too many files on it. I'd like to
delete
some of them, but I can't seem to find now to do that.

I try the standard way, like this:

pereira@steve:/media/B826-3C5D$ rm NewF*
rm: cannot remove `NewFile11.csv': Read-only file system
(snip)

and this:

pereira@steve:/media/B826-3C5D$ sudo rm NewF*
rm: cannot remove `NewFile11.csv': Read-only file system
(snip)

and this, even though I know it shouldn't make any difference (and it
doesn't):

pereira@steve:/media/B826-3C5D$ sudo mv NewF* ~/.
mv: cannot remove `NewFile11.csv': Read-only file system
(snip).

I also try with the mouse in a pictorial view of the file system: no
difference
(as it shouldn't either).

What am I missing?

Nino
