Disk drive manufacturers speak of capacity in Decimal, whereas we Geeks tend to think in Binary.

To us, 1K = 1,024 while to them, 1K=1,000.
To us, 1M = 1,048,576 while to them, 1M=1,000,000.
To us, 1G = 1,073,741,824 while to them, 1G=1,000,000,000.
To us, 1T = 1,099,511,627,776 while to them, 1T=1,000,000,000,000.

perl -e 'print 1.0E12/1024/0124/1024' prints

931.322+

? HOWEVER...? MountManager ("Tool for monitoring of partitions") sees "sda 931gb disk" (that's the system internal hard drive), "sdb 1863gb disk" (that's the 2tb USB disk), AND? "sdc 2794.5gb disk" - that MUST be the new 3tb USB disk.
