[Novalug] CentOS 6

I am in the middle of RH300 right now. And some of the below is correct,
there is lots of stuff I have never used before. But then its still
useful and I probably SHOULD know it if I am claiming to be an RHCE, so
its not useless info. (Not that he said it was, just want to point that
out!)

No hardware yet, and nothing obnoxious like a 64bit cd for a 32bit
hardware ;-) So far the in class exercises and test have been a 50/50
mix of "I've seen this before" and "Yikes, thats kinda weird." But in 2
days I've picked up at least 4 things I want to do back at work.

Indeed, I had to open up the chassis to find out that the Molex connector to the disk was unplugged. I asked first, as I wasn't sure whether it was part of the test or not. I received the answer "Go ahead if you think it's necessary". With the RHCE I would guess that they probably don't mess with Hardware, but the idea is still the same...be careful about your assumptions. For example, you might only get a 64-bit DVD for a 32-bit System; you may be expected to ask for the correct media.
