Yes, but Live Distros are Soooo Passe!

Why would you treat a read-write medium as if it were read-only?

And why would you compress a filesystem if you had enough space? USB 
sticks are $1/G now.

And why would you use a Windows Oriented Loader (syslinux) when you 
could use a Linux based one (grub) instead?

A USB stick is Just a Disk and should be treated as such!
