Most game cartridges (C-64, Atari, NES, SNES, Sega Mastersystem,
Genesis...) didn't have on-board batteries because they either didn't
save your game state or did it in a way other than storing a state
snapshot in battery-backed RAM (remember the length of the passwwords in
_The Guardian Legend_ or _Simon's Quest_?)
