[Novalug] C++ "news"

They are a Windows centric (desktops, Servers(OS and DBMS), Applications etc. etc).  Although not much development is done where I am located, the tools that are developed in the Enterprise are in either VB or C#.  They are very very Microsoftish.

I had an interesting conversation with some of the sysadmins 2 weeks ago.  The discussion was between Windows vs Linux (related to configuration, security and stability).  The sysadmin said (paraphrasing)..."Everyone criticizes Microsoft but it pays our bills.  It keeps me busy putting out fires and learning new things.  Look at that box (pointing to a computer) it is a Linux server.  If everything ran like that we would be out of our jobs."  :-)

Case closed, I hope?!

Just why is it that C# is so "hot" for your customer?
