[Novalug] OT FYI:now reactor-- HDNet question

FYI:

There've been some news reports that China is going to
build a whole slew of new reactors ( based on research done
in the U.S. on similar in 1959 ) of reactors that use liquid salt.
Supposedly this is a lot safer as it produces less radiation
( they're less "hot" ), a lot safer,
and can be used for reprocessing fuel that is simply piling
up in storage facilities. Perhaps thats what was meant by the
OP as "breeder" ?

Personally, I think the U.S. should legislate a patent pool
for all solar patents, more so for "solid state" devices such
as solar cells or equivalent, so we can get on with making
efficient cheap devices. . . with the systems being run by linux
powered embedded devices ( cheap attempt at tie-in ).
( Of course, the actual manufacturing would be moved to China )
where they use Red Flag Linux...<g>

The US had one, long ago. It borked (at least) a couple of times and its
license didn't get renewed. Renewed/increased interest around the world
will prolly (IMHO) lead to many of them being built here.

I wonder if it's time to give up going back to work in the IT world and
enter the Nuke world. After all, what's the worst that could happen? :P
