What text feed?
It's supposed to be a natural language thing. That's part of the reason
for the "super computer" thing and the challenge at hand.

There was a PBS broadcast about the show. They may shine some lights on
those areas.

But all of that said - it's still pretty impressive that we now have a
system that understands natural language, context etc. enough to compete
let alone win against humans.
