This isn't even required.  Calc is pretty good about
figuring out space, tab, position and other delimited
options than just commas.  Just open the file in
Calc and it will automagically present you with various
options and a real-time preview of several lines.

Makes Excel look extremely limited in comparison, honestly.

Although Gnumeric had these capabilities almost a
dozen years ago.  Back then it was absolutely tops.
I discovered Gnumeric's extensive capabilities when
people on Windows were using 3rd party programs like
Monarch that cost more than any spreadsheet software.
