[Novalug] OT: Overheating CPU?

This is a socket-754 MB and chip. There is a case fan and cooler fan,
both of which run fine. The case sides has been off for several months,
and even with a fan blowing in on the side it still overheats. There is
no indication that the GPU or disk are the problem. It really seems to
be when I run a CPU intensive program (no disk io, no graphics).

I appreciate the suggestions. If you have a spare 754 CPU it would be
worth trying it out. If that turns out to be the problem, I'd be happy
to buy it off you. It would eliminate one more variable :) If you don't,
no worries.. I appreciate the offer.

Thanks,

	- Scott
