Hello List,

Two Decembers ago I and Timothy Ferro participated in LISA '06 in Washington, DC by staffing a table
and sharing what the LUG could do for and by other linux users. Well, LISA (Large Informations
Systems Assoc. A-what?) is coming to Baltimore. The organizer has contacted me about the local LUG
participating. Personally I think it is a good idea if we have volunteers and a message to
share. Below is the basic information I received:

---------
We were in touch a year or so ago regarding the LISA exhibition. You were interested in
participating when we hit Baltimore, and we are on our way there this coming November 1-6.

I know you are involved with Tux.org and several LUG's in the DC/Baltimore area. Let me know if
you'd like to exchange exhibit space or some other form of participation at LISA (a BoF?) for
promotion of LISA within your community. We'll be happy to provide a discount code for your user
group members who go to LISA.

I am attaching the generic sponsorship information below, but please let me know if you have any
questions. We anticipate the web site and program to go live in early July.
--------

Do we as LUG's wish to participate? Exhibit or BoF? Should we query other local LUGS (College
Park or such similar)? What are the opinions of "The List"?
