The first line of the Wikipedia entry for RealPlayer starts:

   "RealPlayer (briefly known also as RealOne Player)"

My scanning of the downloads pages shows RealOne editions of
Player date to about 2002.  Me thinks your course requirements
description is a bit out of date.

RealPlayer 11 is available for LINUX as is Adobe Reader.
