[Novalug] Tuxflix?

There has been an offline discussion that I think warrants some online
inputs.

The NOVALUG meetings have been recorded over the years and either
transferred to VHS tape or DVD. Availability of the recordings has been
dependent upon a librarian physically being at the monthly meeting and
you being there to borrow the recording and return it.

The question was raised about posting to YouTube or some other place. I
am not opposed as long as all involved - speakers and attendees, are in
full agreement. Having physical media limits the distribution
technically which, without written permission from all attendees, is a
good thing. I personally do not wish to infringe on anyone's privacy by
posting his/her image/voice without their express acknowledgement.

Then JR, have to give credit here, asked about TuxFlix. A meeting
download repository for NOVALUG members. Would there be interest? What
would be the preferred/acceptable resolution?? This could lead to a
minor donation being needed if bandwidth consumption becomes an issue.

So, is there any interest in a TuxFlix??
