[Novalug] Printer reccommendations

No, the printer gets left on, in standby.  Valid point though, if it is on why couldn't a
computer be left on as well.  With the i850 at least I don't think you've got access to
some of the vendor status results when shared however. 

If the Hawking box worked with the i850 I'd be in the car right now.  A couple of years ago I tried 
various print servers with the i850, no dice.  I seems to require a direct connection.
I spent a couple of weeks going round and round with a Cannon rep in the US over 
email about the market they were missing out on.  With more and more homes having
multiple computers, I would have thought that a simple network connector and a 'standard'
protocol would be a no-brainer.  But I wasn't consulted by the vendors, and I'm possibly
contaminated by the open-source movement.......<sigh>
