Hi,
I use kUbuntu because I prefer it and KDE has always seemed to have a
smaller footprint than GNOME. Did the user check the
/var/log/Xorg.0.log file? Was there any useful information in there?
Jay---we could all go back to "init 3" mode. No icons. No wallpaper.
Heck we wouldn't even need all those fancy monitors and graphic cards.
Just ssh/telnet/rsh/xterm access and CTL-ALT-F{num} keys. How easy!
How cheap!! (Joke from megan who used to work on monochrome screens
and pre-full-screen editing.)
