[Novalug] difference between browsers

when I viewed it using Opera it appears white background.

do any other opera pages have the magenta background?

did you by mistake choose a magenta background as your preferred 
default background in opera and then also choose something like "use my 
defaults for web viewing" for this page?

Also the page source I can find looking at this site is different from 
the one you posted.


The one you poste seems to be for conference xxix which i interpret as 
#39 yet the latest one on the website is XV which is 15 and that is 
for the year 2010. So my only conclusion is that you have pulled a 
page that exists in 2034 and that browser standards changed enough that 
the default white background is purple.

Unless the background is being delivered from the css file there is 
nothing calling for a magenta background it the fragment you posted.

there would need to be something like bgcolor=#ff00ff in the body line to 
get the whole page to be magenta
