Isn't there still a need for the set top boxes to pick up an IP addr?
What would act as the DHCP server over the coax if the Verizon supplied
router is eliminated?  If you ask for an ethernet rather than cable
drop, are two boxes installed, one to supply the lan (hardwired and
wireless) and a second to supply ethernet over coax?
