I don't know about his rationale but I am very wary of giving any
third party access to my logins and passwords.  All it takes is one
disgruntled bonehead in Ops with the right access to give you years
worth of headaches.  I prefer to compartmentalize things as much as
reasonably possible to contain what I call the bonehead factor.

FTR I have a password keeper on my Treo that is password protected and
3des encrypted, splashid.  It's available for a bunch of other
platforms including Blackberry and WinCE.
