[Novalug] OT: Broken phone line ?

I had this once - found that one of the phones was fried and that hung
the line.

So, disconnect all phones and then disconnect the home line at the NID,
wait a bit (I always LOVE these subjective time frames! .... LOL) , and
then reconnect from the NID. Call home using your cell - & verify vmail
is ok. Then plugin the "dumbest" of the phones. I had to trace the
phone lines from the NID ... if you can do that, try at the connection
closest to the NID and slowly work outwards (assuming the line works).

I doubt it is the wiring - it's likely a connection. You also may want
to retighten the connections.
