[Novalug] Is a gaming router really faster for downloading ; ZIPZ, Live CDs?

A gaming router will not really help with that particular issue. They
work well at handling often fragmented traffic from online play. They
also have oversized NAT tables which is beneficial if you run multiple
connections (think TORRENT style traffic). They do NOT "bundle up"
sound and video. They can also be configured to give priority to one
device on the network for gaming. It's a little different than QoS, but
similar.

I have the DLINK DGL 4100 which is the wired only version of the
(wireless) DGL 4300. So far it's worked very well. I've definitely put
it through its paces. My Linksys used to lock up all the time. It
always happened after a combined gaming/torrent session.
