[Novalug] Looking for Linux mp3 player / CD ripper

XMMS used to be the gold standard, as far as I'm concerned, but then
Gentoo ripped it out of portage (unmaintained, too many bugs filed to
manage, tho I never had a problem). Audacious was put forth as the
up-and-comer XMMS replacement, but to say I was disappointed is an
understatement. Now I've switched (kind-of) to amarok, and though it
doesn't quite feel like home yet it's quite good, and I'm keeping an eye
on Songbird ( http://www.songbirdnest.com/ ), a media player built on
top of the Mozilla platform (like firefox and thunderbird). It's not
quite ready for primetime yet, but it looks rather promising.
