[Novalug] Hardware Problem

Try playing around with the cheatcodes; see:
http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Cheat_Codes

I've never been in exactly your boat, but at a glance I'd try cheatcodes 
like:
nohwsetup
pci=biosirq

and see if anything changes.
